Founder Tashi Wangdi has a Bachelors Degree in Languages and History and over 15 years of experience as a certified trekking guide making him uniquely qualified to make your trip to Bhutan safe, smooth and unforgettable.
Tashi was born in the remote nomadic village of Merak in the North East located at an elevation of 11,500ft and grew up herding yaks as a young child.
After completing his education, he spent a year teaching in Southern Bhutan. His love for the mountains and sharing the unique traditions he grew up with, prompted him to switch careers and begin leading exclusive trekking trips all over Bhutan. He’s experienced with all of Bhutan’s trekking routes, including the gruelling 29-days Snowman trek.
He has been one of the few preferred trip leaders for REI Adventures and SIERRA CLUB since 2007, often being specifically requested by guests leading uncountable trekking trips to Jomolhari and Mt. Gangkar Puensum (7540m/25,000ft), Bhutan’s highest peak. He also worked with Peregrine from Australia and Elder Tours of America. Out of Bhutan, he has been on hikes in the Alps and in Chile and Argentina in Patagonian Wilderness supporting a Nature Conservator who worked closely with Douglas Tompkins, founder of The North Face. So, he knows quite a bit about Pacific Crest Trail (U.S) or any other wilderness Adventures out of Bhutan.
Besides being a top guide for adventurous trekking trips, he loves to immerse his guests in authentic cultural experiences. An avid student of Mahayana Buddhism and Bhutanese history, he will entertain you with legends and engage in deep philosophical discussions if you are curious enough to ask.

Depending on the itinerary you select, while on the tour in Bhutan we call upon guides with tremendous experience in Trekking, Cultural, Mountain Biking, Botanical Tour or any other customized Special Interest Tours. They bring their passion and expertise to give you the ultimate travel and adventure experience. Tashi’s reward for many years of leading trekking trips is getting to know a countless number of cooks, trekking crews, and horsemen. We have an extraordinary set of trekking staff who will delight you while you are "roughing it" out on the trail. We provide only the best licensed English speaking guides and can also arrange guides who speak Spanish, Italian, French( Tashi is a French Speaking guide), German, Japanese or Chinese.
ACCOMMODATION, TRANSPORT AND TREKKING EQUIPMENT
We accommodate our guests in best 3 Star or higher hotels which are certified by the Tourism Council and Hotel Association of Bhutan. The company provides very comfortable SUV cars for a group of two guests and a Deluxe Toyota Van for a group of six and fewer guests. For larger groups of more than seven, we provide Deluxe Toyota coach buses. While out on a trek we provide top-quality trekking equipment and haulages. We have REI dome tents and A- shaped sleeping tents which can withstand cold weather and overnight snowfall. We double wrap your bags so that the contents stay dry and your duffels are transported and handled very carefully.
